How It Works
Open the WeCycle app, and you’ll be greeted with a menu through which you can either sign up for a new account or sign into an already existing account using your email, Google account, or Facebook.
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to use all of the app’s functionalities! To rent an item, you can start by selecting the Explore tab, and browse through different items posted by WeCycle users nearby or by different categories. If you are looking to rent something specific, you can search whatever you’re looking for with the search bar at the top of the explore tab, and you can sort and filter items alphabetically, by price, and by distance!
Once you have found the item you want to rent, you will find a description of the item, the daily and weekly price that the lender has set, condition of the item, and the approximate location of the lender. If you would like to message the lender, you will find a message icon next to the profile of the lender. If you are finally ready to book an item, you can either select Book Now to book it instantly or Add to Cart if you would like to book it later.
Once Book Now is selected, a calendar will appear to specify the amount of days and hours you would like to rent the item for. Once you select how long you would like to rent for, you will be navigated to the cart, through which you can confirm which items you would like to checkout. Once Checkout is selected, you can choose your delivery method, which can either be Shipping or Pick Up. After a delivery method is selected, you can select or add a payment method, and send the request to the lender.
